Q. What if I need emergency care?

A. If an emergency should arise, please call our office as soon as possible. Dr. Nassif can be reached after hours, on holidays and on weekends by calling the office at 319-363-8854. Either Dr. Nassif or a colleague will always be available through our answering service.

Q. Do you offer telephone consultations?

A. All patients are encouraged to call with any questions or concerns regarding podiatric problems. The office staff has been trained to answer many of your questions. However, telephone consultations are discouraged to assure proper diagnosis and treatment. Only through an examination can Dr. Nassif ensure an accurate evaluation of your foot problem.

Q. How often should I have a podiatric exam?

A. If you do not have a specific foot problem, regular podiatric exams every 6 months can help detect foot problems before symptoms arise.

Q. Does my insurance cover podiatric care?

A. Most insurance is accepted. Insurance cards should be presented at initial office visit. We file all allowable insurance claims as a courtesy of our office. Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees already paid to the doctor. It is NOT a substitute for payment.

Since it would be impossible for us to be familiar with the details of every insurance plan, we ask that you be aware of your finanical responsibilities for 2nd opinions, prior authorization, or primary care referrals under the terms of your policy. We expect all accounts paid in full within 90 days from the date of service.
